35 Days Until the "March for Justice" in Washington, D.C.

Good morning from New York City, NY. It is snowing up here in the Big Apple, the first dusting of the year. I love the snow and the Christmas lights and cold, brisk winds. New York City has always inspired me as be being the best example of the American melting pot. The vibrancy of the people, the ability to live peacefully while cherishing diversity and the Arts. There are also alot of rats in NYC. The corporate economic order (CEO) that is destroying our country is centered here. I often think about how non-Americans perceive this great city....possibly with awe of it's greatness and disgust at it's corporate largess.
As the Justice Movement evolves, I want to state my personal view that the entrepreneurial spirit, American ingenuity, American innovativeness, and work ethic of the people working in some corporations are people that I am very proud of. The American entrepreneurial experience and approaches are critically important for solving domestic and global challenges if and only if they are used to advance justice for all. Unfortunately, an unbridled corporate economic order (CEO) focusses only maximizing profits for the shareholders and the leadership. It is my stand, that this not workable any longer for an American that is the process of a justice-based transformation.
The last 24 hours were incredibly miraculous....I was able to meet up with old childhood and college friends in Philadelphia and NYC and was conference calls and meetings with many other people. What emerged from these discussion is the beginning of the possibilities of what WE together can create as a "Justice Movement Urgent Action Plan, Dec 2010-July 2011" Here's is today's update:

20 January 2011: Justice Movement Constitutive Convention, Washington, D.C.: representatives from 50 states and constituency groups will attend to develop and finalize the Justice Movement Platform for 2011-2012
At the Justice Movement Constitutive Convention in Washington, DC, I will be proposing that the Justice Movement convene a U.S. Constitutional Convention be convened on 4 July 2011 in Philadelphia, PA. An organizing group has been formed, which includes top legal scholars to ensure that the outcome of the convention is legally binding.

Article V. Amendement
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.

My request is that you choose to be unreasonable: Speak Truth; Be Bold; Serve Justice for All
In the words of MLK in his "I have a dream speech" he said: " We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy."
